"Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all"
~Aristotle
This page is dedicated to my amazing students from 1-Hughson and 2-Davis. Their motivation and eagerness to learn was inspirational. Without them these lesson plans and projects would cease to exist.
The following project is one created by my Grade 2 class for You and Your World; the water cycle. After a unit of learning about the properties of water and its' cycle we created a large scale class cartoon strip. My students did everything, including creating the characters the story line, and then pieced it together. Enjoy!
Here are some sample lesson plans associated with this unit.

These pictures are from our student led conferences. The students had 4 stations to show their parents; Math: played a game called cross the river. Writing: showed how to edit their Maple Sugar recount using a rubric. Read to Someone:using our big book of poems they read 2 of their favorites. Science: they showed their science journals and did an activity on the smart board to distinguish solids, liquids and gases.
This video was taken from my grade 1 class during our bullying awareness week. I can assure you tears will come to your eyes- it captures the beauty and innocence of children.
